Operational Safety Notice

Effective 1 October 2026 · All legal documents

1. Regulatory status

No part of GHSLink is currently approved or accepted by an aviation authority, or by an operator under its approved procedures, as a load control, weight and balance, flight planning, fuel planning or dispatch system.

GHSLink is not a departure control system and does not produce loadsheets, load instruction reports, NOTOCs or operational flight plans. Organisations that hold an air operator certificate, a ground handling approval or a security programme remain responsible for meeting them with the systems and trained staff those approvals name.

2. Calculators and planning tools

  • Results are estimates for planning, marked "Planning only – not for dispatch".
  • They are only as good as the data entered. Aircraft weights, arms, limits and fuel densities must come from the aircraft's approved documents (AFM, weight and balance report, loading manual), and the aircraft's current weighing report takes precedence over any figure held in GHSLink.
  • Before a flight, figures must be produced or verified using the operator's approved method and signed off by a person authorised to do so.
  • Unit conversions and fuel density figures follow published conversion factors; the density on the fuel slip is the one to use.

3. Operational information

Airport, FBO, weather, route and schedule information in GHSLink comes from customers and third parties. It may be incomplete or out of date and is not a substitute for official aeronautical information (AIP, NOTAMs, ATC instructions) or direct confirmation with the provider.

A service marked confirmed in GHSLink means the provider told you so through GHSLink. Confirm critical services (fuel release, slots, permits, security) through the channels your procedures require.

4. Reporting a problem

If you think a GHSLink figure, status or message was wrong in a way that could affect safety, stop using it for that purpose, follow your own occurrence reporting procedures, and tell us at safety@ghslink.com so we can investigate and correct it.
